Ibiza is an island in the Mediterranean Sea 79 km off the coast of Spain. It is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain. With Formentera, it is one of the two Pine Islands or Pityuses. Its largest cities are Ibiza Town (Catalan:Vila d'Eivissa or simply Vila), Santa Eularia des Riu and Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio).

Where did we stay for our photo trip?: Aparthotel Puerto Cala Vadella is situated in the marvellous surroundings of Cala Vadella, on the sea-front, 15 km from San Antonio and 21 km from Ibiza.

What do you think of when you think of Ibiza? All-night parties? Larging it in Europe's most happening night clubs? Having such a wild time that you need another holiday just to get over this one? Well you're right. Partially. Ibiza is all those things: famous clubs such as Pacha, Es Paradis, Space, Amnesia and DC10 offer party nights that you'll never forget.

However, Ibiza is also the most AMAZING holiday destination for families. We have never seen such a huge number of beautiful, safe, sandy beaches. It is GORGEOUS!

On this tour we can show you as many beaches as we had time to visit on one week (it's a tough life, but hey! someone's got to do it...), as well as the busy scenes of Sant Antoni and the night life of Ibiza town.

We visit the popular family resorts of Santa Eulalia, Es Canar, Cala Llonga, Puerto de San Miguel and Portinatx, plus some quieter resorts, like Cala Tarida and Cala Vadella (my favourite). We also go to some places where there is no accommodation - just a fantastic beach and a few great restaurants, like Cala Comte, Cala Carbo, Cala Salada, Sa Caleta. Some beaches are quite exclusive - you can rub shoulders with the rich and famous at Cala Jondal and Platja d'en Bossa. If you can afford it. We also went inland to the quiet but very chic villages of Sant Gertrudis, Sant Josep and Sant Rafel.
