 Sant JosepWe stayed near here, at Cala Vadella and stopped at Sant Josep quite often to have a coffee or a bite to eat or to use the bank. It's a pleasant little place with a huge church and a few little cafes and restaurants. This shot was taken from the garden of one of them, facing the church. Sant Josep had a nice feel to it - it catered for the tourist without losing its soul, somehow. There are a couple of arty, boutique-style shops, selling clothes, furniture and accessories and some of the cafes have definitely tried hard to give their European customers what they want (check out the lovely Juice bar - there's a garden round the back). Sant Josep We stayed near here, at Cala Vadella and stopped at Sant Josep quite often to have a coffee or a bite to eat or to use the bank. It's a pleasant little place with a huge church and a few little cafes and restaurants. This shot was taken from the garden of one of them, facing the church. Sant Josep had a nice feel to it - it catered for the tourist without losing its soul, somehow. There are a couple of arty, boutique-style shops, selling clothes, furniture and accessories and some of the cafes have definitely tried hard to give their European customers what they want (check out the lovely Juice bar - there's a garden round the back). There is even a very small pedestrianised street. But it doesn't feel as though it has sold out to tourists or to second-home owners, like some places. The only problem with Sant Josep is the road. We saw quite a few accidents as people tried to park, or exit from parking off the busy main road (its a main route from the airport to San Antoni...). You have been warned.
