Cala Tarida is a smallish resort, just south of San Antoni. Most of the hotels here are complete hotel complexes with a wide range of facilities and entertainment provided. The resort has two sheltered, curving sandy beaches, separated by a rocky headland between them.
On the beach are a couple of big restaurants, with plenty more bars, cafes and restaurants in the resort behind. The sand is lovely for sandcastles here and the beach is ideal for children since it has a gentle gradient and a separate roped-off area for boats. You can hire sun loungers, parasols or a pedalo or simply explore the rock pools.
You can catch the bus here or, better still take a ferry to San Antoni! There's even diving facilities and a waterski school for the more adventurous. It really is a lovely, family-friendly place.
